Through our time running Regatta Point Community Sailing, we’ve heard stories from parents telling us that their kids...
are eager to get to the boathouses and learn a new skill (even if they didn't enjoy learning before)
tell their family about the new adventures they've had in the water, their eyes gleaming with excitement
go to bed early and wake up early (often without their parents asking them to)
happily leave their cellphones and gaming consoles behind, at least for a period of time, to interact with other kids and appreciate nature.
feel more confident, energized, and strong.

Our Teen Sailing Program is made not only to teach your teen how to sail, but to develop skills that'll serve them for a lifetime: responsibility, focus, and independence.
We blend the thrill of sailing with the development of personal responsibility and independence. This program offers sessions running from 9am to 4pm, perfectly tailored for kids who can confidently swim 75 yards and tread water for 3 minutes.
Plus, in addition to sailing, participants will also enjoy the fun of kayaking during their camp sessions!
Your teen will:
Be entrusted with many responsibilities: being on time to lessons, setting personal learning goals, and embodying the Regatta Point principles (safety, fun, and learning).
Learn to manage time effectively and make responsible choices through sailing.
Develop traits like contribution and teamwork through maintaining our facilities, assist in minor repairs, and support less experienced sailors.
Choose his or her own activities, so they're invested in their learning.
Master a variety of skill sets through our "chunking model" of learning. Your teen will take small tests* that ensure progressive learning before getting to the next level.
Receive expert coaching from certified instructors, which ensures safety and learning.
Go through a series of "levels" of learning: from learning basic sailing, to mastering high-performance sailboats, advanced techniques, and even competing in regattas and team sailing.
* Our tests and certifications are aligned with the US Sailing Accredited curriculum.
